Then and Now

The kids were playing in the sand box today and they were having such a good time. I grabbed the camera and took some pictures, of course! Then I remembered some other similar pictures I took of them doing this exact same thing. When I looked at the date on the first pictures I found that they were taken almost exactly a year ago (Oct 2) and I just had to share the comparison.

Monkeying Around

Anna found Jack's Halloween costume from two years ago and wanted to wear it around the house today. Not sure why she took off her pants and put these shoes on, but I guess she already knows it's all about how you accessorize!

This was Hank's reaction. He's pretty immune to the things that go on around our house.

Jack even let me take his picture since he was wearing his "Monkey George" t-shirt today.

My silly monkeys!

Of course, once Anna was finished with the costume, Jack just had to put it on.

And not to be left out, here's my happy monkey (I love the drool)!

Rolls

Big boy was four months old yesterday! I have no idea how much he weighs since we don't go to the doctor until next week. However, he's huge! I was in the process of changing his clothes today and thought I would take a few pics so people can really take in all of his rolls. While I had him on his tummy, he decided to show off his newfound skill of rolling (tummy to back). Granny said he did it 3 times at the beach while Marshall and I were out. I counted it as the "official" first roll over, but he didn't show me he could do it until yesterday. He only rolled once then and it apparently didn't so much for him. Today was a different story and he had the best time rolling over. I would help him flip back to his tummy and before I could blink he would roll onto his back again - he was pretty proud of himself today!

Getting ready to roll!

The Classic White

Due to several different reasons, Friday rolled around and we still had not taken the classic picture with us all wearing white. It was really overcast and even a little drizzly, but we got dressed and even got a few ok pictures.

Rainbow Bright

So if you know me at all, you know I am slightly obsessed with trying to get a good family picture - especially at the beach! I had planned on us all wearing white and doing a little photo shoot like we did last year. I've recently seen a few families wear various brightly colored shirts with jeans and thought that looked like fun, too. So we threw in some shirts and jeans at the last minute and early in the week we had our own personal photo shoot with our photographer, Granny! The "bloopers" are my favorite with this group!

This is probably the best picture of us and it was the second one taken!

I love how everyone is looking down and Sam looks a little like "huh?!"

Now everyone else is looking up and it's his turn to look down.

"Grrrr!"

"Yay!"

Jack is either sweetly snuggling with Sam or scratching his nose on Sam's head. I'm betting it's the latter one!

Anna refused to get off - probably just because she knew it would make Jack mad!
