Sunday Pictures

Yet again we attempted to snap a few pictures before church this morning. The results were pretty typical of us trying to get a good picture of three children ages four and under. I can only imagine what our pictures will look like once we add a fourth child to the mix! Please ignore the wet spot on the the front of Anna's dress - she spilled juice on herself right before our photo shoot.

And we are officially done!

Pink Nursery

We finally have the nursery finished, or at least as finished as it's going to get before our girl arrives. I'm sure things will change, but I wanted to snap some pictures and document what it looks like with our baby girl's impending arrival only a week and a half away! Yes, I'm being induced on Jan 21st and I can hardly wait! I'm just trying not to think about all the things we still need to do.

First of all, even though it's not a secret, I know I haven't mentioned it on the blog. Our sweet girl does have a name, though.

This is also a new addition to our pink nursery and I love it since it's the song I sing to all my babies because my Mama sang it to me.

Also, another new addition that I love. I've seen others do this in their nursery (thank you, Jaime) and I thought it was such a cute idea. So when I needed something to hang above her changing table, I took on a project. Because of the windows on the other side of the room, it's almost impossible to get a good picture, but you get the idea. Top row (left to right) is Sam, Lucy's ultrasound picture, Marshall, and the bottom row is myself, Anna, and Jack.

From the door entering the room...

The pictures really don't do it justice, but the room really is super cute and I can't wait to have a tiny baby girl sleeping in it very soon!

Snow Day 2011

It actually snowed here last night! I can't believe it has already snowed twice this winter. The first snow did not get documented by us because it was the day after Christmas and most of us were still sick with the stomach bug so we didn't go out to play or take any pictures. We bundled up and headed out this morning, though. It has sleeted quite a bit so our snow is hard and icy instead of soft and fluffy, but that hasn't seemed to bother the kids one bit! Sam struggled a lot with staying upright. Between the uneven terrain, the boots, the bulky jacket, and the hat that kept covering his eyes, he was definitely ready to come inside before the other two. Eventually the socks on their hands were too wet (we couldn't find gloves and mittens this morning) and Jack and Anna declared that it was freezing and they needed to come inside. I have a feeling we will go out for round two this afternoon, though.

Family Pictures

Right before Thanksgiving we had a friend take some family pictures for us - something we have never done before (unless you count the grandparents or Mason as our "professional photographers"). The kids cooperated about as well as I expected them to, but we ended up with a couple cute ones. Some of these have already been posted but I wanted to put them all together on one post.

Check out Mr. Solemn - even photo shop couldn't make him smile.

34 Weeks

So I technically have 4 weeks until my due date but we're hoping to schedule an induction in a little less than 3 weeks. I go to the doctor this week and we will see what happens from there. I realize I haven't done a very good job documenting this pregnancy so here is a picture taken today.

This is definitely my most difficult pregnancy here toward the end. I'm attributing it to the fact that I have to bend over and put on socks for the first time ever (so grateful my other babies have been born during flip flop season). Of course the fact that I have no energy, no lung capacity, a constant pressure on my bladder, throbbing pain in my lower back, and continue to carry around a 27 lb "baby" might also have something to do with it. But who's complaining?! Despite all of that, I'm truly thankful for this experience (I do love to feel that baby dancing around inside my expanding tummy) and cannot wait to meet our sweet baby girl very soon!

New Year's Day at the Park

Since we've rarely left the house over the past two weeks, we are all going a little bit stir crazy. We took advantage of the beautiful weather on New Year's day and headed to the park to expend some energy and soak up some much needed UV rays! It was super windy but it was definitely nice to get out and enjoy the unusually warm weather.

Yee Haw!

Grammy made Anna the cutest cowgirl dress for Christmas. She wore it to church today and we had to snap a few pictures. Anna even sported braids today, just like Jessie (from Toy Story). Thanks for the super cute dress, Grammy (or as Anna calls it, her "bootiful dress")!
