We decided to have a special snack to help us celebrate the real meaning of Easter. I found this on pinterest and then forgot about it until the last minute so some of the ingredients had to be adapted, but the kids still got the meaning and it was a really yummy snack!
The marshmallows represented Jesus' body - white and pure, without sin.
The marshmallows represented Jesus' body - white and pure, without sin.
We were supposed to use large marshmallows but we only had minis, so we just squished a bunch of them together.
We dipped them in melted butter (representing the oils that would have been used on Jesus' body).
And then rolled them in cinnamon sugar, which represented the spices used to prepare the body for burial.
We wrapped them in a crescent roll "cloth."

The tightly pinched rolls are like the tomb.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes and see how the marshmallow disappears, just like Jesus!
