New Playground

Jack was out of school last Friday so we spent some time playing at the new local playground in the early morning sun.

Attempted Photo Shoots

I'm hankering for some "good" pictures of my kids together, so the other day I thought I would at least put them in coordinating clothes and take some pictures at the Gardens. As soon as we got there it started to pour so we came home and tried to take a few. Jack was not cooperative, so that's why he's missing in this first one.

And here are a few I snapped earlier in the week that just make me laugh. Obviously, there are no coordinating outfits in this one and it's pre-haircut for Jack!

It's Soccer Season Again

Today was Jack's soccer jamboree, which means he had to be at the field ready for pictures at 8:45 and a game at 9:30. This is usually a day full of chaos, but since he was only the second game of the day, it really wasn't that bad. His team name this year is "Fire" and he seems to be pretty excited about the full red uniforms. He has several classmates on his team and I think this is going to be a really fun season for him. He did a GREAT job playing today and even had an assist. Not a lot of action shots because we're still figuring out our camera in that department and the action was too far away. In fact, there are more pictures of the kids playing on the sidelines and at the park afterwards. And I'm not sure where Anna was, but I promise she was there!

Leprechaun Trap

Jack had to make a leprechaun trap for school this week. He chose to use his soccer trophy as bait, since leprechauns like gold. The trophy is attached to a set of chopsticks that are holding the lid of the box up. When the leprechaun tries to pull the gold trophy, he will pull the chopsticks away, dropping the box down on top of him. Pretty cute, huh? Jack got to spray paint the box (which was interesting and pretty messy), and then he painted the rainbow because leprechauns like rainbows, duh! He was pretty proud of his project and can't wait to see if he actually catches a leprechaun Thursday night!

Little Helpers

Pop was in town this past weekend to hang out with everyone and help Marshall fix my sagging swing (not the actual swing, just the frame). Despite the fact that all three of these kids had an ear infection at the time, they were right out there "helping."

And since Pop didn't make it in the picture above, here's one of him with his oldest grandson.

To the Zoo Again!

As a way to celebrate my birthday, I met up with Allison and Lottie, and most of their kids, at the zoo one day. We had so much fun watching the kids play together and seeing them get excited about all the animals. It was a fun day spent with great friends!

The kids played in a puddle at the park one day, without my permission. As punishment, I made them ride home in their skivvies because their clothes were soaked. They were not thrilled with this decision!

Mama Gets Crafty

I finally took all the pictures from my phone and put them on the computer so I can blog them. Get ready for lots of unimportant updates on the life and times of these silly children! This first one is from Feb, 10th.

This is what happens when all of your kids are sick with RSV and you've been trapped in the house WAY TOO LONG! On the first day that it's a possibility to leave the house, you take your child to Hobby Lobby so he can pick out fleece for you to make a no sew blanket. And he chooses Buzz Lightyear, and even though you're not a big fan of anything "character," you go with it because it's what he really wants. And he LOVES it!

And then you take the other two back to Hobby Lobby so they can choose their own fabric. And then you stay up really late finishing two more blankets so that they all three have them bright and early the next morning for Saturday morning cartoons.

They are a hot mess here, but they all still love snuggling with their new soft blankets!
