Zoo Time

A couple weekends ago, we decided to take a last minute trip to the zoo. Marshall had the day off, the weather was pretty, so we packed up and headed to Columbia. It was probably the most fun I've ever had at the zoo, and the best family day we've had in a while. The kids all had a great time, they were pleasant, they didn't whine and complain at all and we didn't even eat lunch until 3:00! It was a good day!

All three of them decided they needed a map and we had to make occasional stops so they could each check the map and tell us where to go next!

Time to break and read the maps!

Snack time!

I love this one!

We actually ran into my friend Lisa while we were checking out the Gorillas. She doesn't live in Columbia either, but was there with her family at the zoo. Funny thing is, I just spent two days with her at our speech convention and then saw her again the next day. I haven't seen her in years so it was great running into her and her family. She took this family picture for us.

Another map break!

Cookie Monster

After Lucy played around in the car (see post below), she moved into the kitchen. I knew she had opened the pantry door and was playing with the red solo cups, but then she got really quiet. When I peeked around the corner, I discovered that somehow she got into the cookies leftover from our Super Bowl party and she was going to town.

Busted!

Hank has just realized there's food out and he coming over to check it out.

Baby, you can drive my car

And baby, I love you!

pics from the phone

Here are a few pictures I've taken over the past week or so on my phone.

We are sick, sick, sick around here these days! I took Anna, Sam, and Lucy to the doctor Tues morning and all three of them ended up receiving breathing treatments. The doctor said it's probably RSV and he sent us home with an inhaler since they all responded so well to the nebulizer at the office. Lucy also began her third round of antibiotics for an ear infection. I took pics of the older ones with their masks on, but since I was holding Lucy down for hers, I didn't get a picture. You can imagine how much fun that was!

Bath time fun for the little ones.

Jack's 100th day of school was last Friday. He had to take 100 of something to school and he chose to glue pennies on poster board in the shape of his name. They had a big party and made a special crown and necklace. This picture was taken after he got home from school, and he lost a couple pennies on the way home.

after bathtime buddies

one day he's going to hate me for this . . .

And then I found this one I didn't even know Marshall had taken and I just had to post it here. Those dimples melt my heart!

another bargain project

My latest project, again, thanks to pinterest! I used my coupon and ended up buying a two pack of 16x20 canvases for a little over $5. Since I only used one, we can say I spent $2.50 on this project since I already had everything else. It was not easy getting Lucy's handprint, but overall, I think it turned out pretty cute and looks great hanging in our new bonus room!

Hello, Blue Eyes!

Anna's First Date

Our local Chick-fil-A had a Daddy/Daughter Date Night last weekend and Marshall made reservations to take Anna on her first date. To say she was excited was an understatement!! The girl talked nonstop about her date for two days before it actually happened. We painted her nails (fingers and toes), per her request, and got her ready for her big night. Marshall said they really did a good job with it. There was a hostess who seated them, real table cloths, menus to order from, waitresses, nuggets delivered on real plates and not in the tiny boxes they usually come in, and fancy decorations. There was a photographer to take pictures of each dad and daughter, and she came home with their picture in a special frame. The night also included a goody bag (with coupons - score!) and a LIMO ride around the block! She apparently loved it and they had a special night. Marshall didn't take nearly as many pictures as I would have, but here are a few.
