The Party

We spent most of the day Saturday celebrating with friends and family for Anna's birthday. Thankfully the birthday months we've dealt with so far are April and October, so we tend to go with what we know - rent a bouncy castle and have fun in our backyard. The weather was beautiful and the day was just perfect for a polka dot birthday party!

Three of our babies, pre-party.
Checking out the bouncy castle before the guests arrived.

Her latest stance these days.

Our "polka dot" goodies.

My attempt at polka dot decorations.

Pop wore a special polka dot shirt, just for the occasion.

She's such a lady, isn't she?

The Birthday Girl in her polka dots!

Again, she's just so lady-like!

Sweet Claire declared herself "Keeper of the Dog," and walked Hank around the backyard for pretty much the entire party!

Yes, she's squatting in the back of a dump truck!

Goodbye hugs from Claire as the party was winding down.

Mason surprised us and showed up at the end of the party and Anna was thrilled to see her favorite uncle!

After the guests left, our family stayed around for lunch, presents, and cake!
Sam just couldn't make it through lunch, though.

Jack patiently waited for Anna to finish lunch so he could "help" her open the gifts.

Sam finally woke up and snacked on more junk food.

Our girl got to blow out the candles on her polka dot cake.

The rest of the afternoon consisted of watching football (see below), playing with new toys, bouncing more in the bouncy castle, and eating even more junk food. It was a good day!

I can't believe Anna is 3. And I bet that somewhere there is a picture of you standing between your mama and daddy that is identical to the one of Anna. She is such a little you!
